The Park is set back from the main road - keeping noise to a minimum and ensuring that it is surrounded by wonderful views of rolling countryside, moorland and even Whitby Abbey and the North Sea.

With generous pitches for tourers and holiday homes alike, the Park has an open and spacious feel with good access to all areas via a network of roads and paths.

The Caravan Park is benefitted by the Ugthorpe Lodge Hotel which features a warm and welcoming bar with open fire. The family rooms regularly host bingo, darts and pool table competitions.  A good selection of beers, wines and spirits are served alongside home-cooked bar meals.

There is a children's playing area located within the grounds, as well as an area for football and a moorland walk area we are currently developing.  There is also a small games room with table tennis free for visitors to use.

We have an on-site laundry with coin operated machines which visitors are welcome to use as well as separate ladies and gents facilities  all located near the reception which is open daily.

At Ugthorpe Lodge we are committed to protecting and helping our natural environment as well as improving the surroundings for our visitors.

We have recently planted many new trees creating great dog walking facilities and attracting local wildlife within the grounds. It’s not uncommon to wake up to passing deer and grazing rabbits. (was on land which is currently un-used. This will benefit both the local wildlife and provide an even greater sound-barrier to the road over time).
